Short films can try, but sometimes it doesn’t always work out perfectly. However, that doesn’t mean giving a short film a chance won’t be worth it. There may be something to learn that could prove seeing more from a particular creator may just be the right thing to do. You could also learn that shorts are as fun as full length films. Short: “The Moonlight Man”


Short films are tough to get right, or so my experience with them would suggest. While my exposure to the short film medium is still very limited, most of the one’s I’ve seen have managed to work best when absolute control is had. When the creators know exactly what they want and don’t get carried away with too much extra anything. Perhaps I’ve just been fortunate in which shorts I’ve watched. The short film. Never predictable and always, somehow, usually, quite fun. I guess it just depends on what type of short you’re watching. Knowing the genre will greatly determine the reaction and level of success, but even then, it’s not a sure thing. Sometimes you just need extra time past what the film allots. Continue reading

Short: “Toy Story of Terror! (TV Short 2013)”

Shorts. They can be all sorts of things. Fun, entertaining, scary, and silly. Of course they can also be the kind you wear, but that’s clearly not now. Some shorts may seem like they can only be enjoyed by a given audience, say children, but that’s not true at all. If the story is there, and if you like the characters enough, you’ll no doubt enjoy whatever shenanigans they get themselves into. Continue reading

Short films can introduce you to various creative minds, who must show they know how to keep things in absolute control. Some short films can even go so far as to lead to bigger and better things.
